Jimmy McMillan הוא המייסד של תנועת "Rent Is Too Damn High Party" והוא ידוע גם בכינויו דרדס אבא. ג'ימי כבר הספיק לרוץ לראשות עיריית ניו יורק ב-2005 ולזכות ב-1000 קולות ו-2009 הוא כבר הצליח להגיע ל 2000+ בוחרים, כך שאם אתם מחליטים לבחור בו אתם ממש לא לבד.

לפני בערך שבועיים ראיתי את הסרט Baader-Meinhof Complex. הסרט מציג את סיפורה של כנופיית באדר-מיינהוף, ארגון טרור שמאלני רדיקלי שפעל בגרמניה משנות ה-60 ועד לשנת 1998. ארגון RAF הוא סיפור מעניין בפני עצמו, הארגון הוקם על-ידי דור הבייבי בום שלאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה. הדור הזה גדל בחברה מצולקת מפשיזם והוא חרד לאופיו של הממשל. באדר מיינהוף משמש כמקרה חקר שכיח בתחום הטרור העירוני ושווה להכיר אותו.  הסרט אומנם ארוך (שעתיים וחצי), אך הוא בהחלט לא משעמם, הסצנות השונות צולמו במקומות בהם התרחשו במציאות והתחקיר על הדמויות מצוין.

לא בכל יום אתה מגלה שוב כמה האינטרנט שינה את עולמך, כיצד הוא הנגיש לך תרבויות זרות, אומנות ומידע שהיה שמור לאנשי האשכולות הגדולים ביותר לשמנת של החברה.

היום זה יום כזה, היום נחשפתי לפועלו של אחד מאומני הבמה הגדולים ביותר של המאה הקודמת.  christened John Pujol, הידוע גם בשם הבמה שלו Le Petomane היה אדם רגיש ונבון שידע לעשות שימוש בחוש ההומור שלו בטעם רב.

1857 - 1945

Le Petomane היה איש במה (כושל יש לומר) שעד מהרה השכיל לעשות שימוש בכישרון הגדול שלו ולהפוך לאחד האומנים המבוקשים ביותר באירופה. Le Petomane ידע לשלוט בנפיחות ויכול היה לשחרר גזים כרצונו. טוענים שהנפיחות היו חסרות ריח ושמאוחר יותר הוא גם למד לשלוט על שרירי הטבעת דבר שאפשר לו להגיע לכל גוון קול שרצה. בעזרת שני כישרונות אלו, Le Petomane לא רק שיכל לחקות נפיחות של אנשים אחרים אלא גם ליצור מוזיקה.

ההופעות של Le Petomane היו מורכבות, מחיקויים בסגנון: "זה ילדה קטנה…. קול של נפיחה תואמת/ זה סבא אחרי חומוס…, נפיחה  וכד'. המופע תמיד התפתח ומעולם לא נשאר קבוע ברמה של החיקויים. באחד משלבי ההתפתחות הרציניים יותר שלו, Le Petomane החדיר צינור גומי לפי הטבעת שלו ומשם לאחד מכיסיו.

הצינור הזה מסתבר אפשר לו לשחרר גזים גם בזמן עישון. מאוחר יותר הוא למד גם הכנסת חללית לתוך צינור הגומי, דבר שאפשר לו ללוות את עצמו בנגינה בזמן שהוא שר. לימים הסתבר שהוא ידע לנגן גם מספר קטעים בחללית גם ללא שימוש בצינור.

Le Petomane רכש את היכולת המדהימה שלו בצבא (למה יש לי את התחושה שלא רק אני לא מופתע). לאחר שירותו הצבאי עבר לעבוד בעסק המשפחתי (מאפייה) ומשם פרש למען חיי במה. כאמור תחילת דרכו האומנותית לא הייתה מזהירה ורק לאחר מספר שנים הוא החל לעשות שימוש במתנת האל.

המופע הפך ללהיט ו – Le Petomane החל להופיע במולאן רוז' ולהיות אחד המופעים הרווחים  ביותר שלהם  בכל הזמנים. המופע היה כל כך מצחיק שמולאן רוז' הכניס השגחה רפואית למופעים, מפני שהצחוק המתפרץ בשילוב עם מחוכים גורם ככל הנראה להתעלפויות בקרב המין הנשי. המולאן רוז' שימש בסופו של דבר כסוכן שלו וארגן לו מסע נפיחות ברחבי אירופה.

בסופה של אחת מההופעות שלו ניגש אליו אדם ונתן לו 20 חתיכות זהב ואמר שהוא הגיע לפריז מבריסל רק בשביל לראות את המופע. האדם טען שלא צפה בהופעה בבריסל משום ששם מנטרים את תנועתו. אותו אדם היה המלך ליאופולד השני מבלגיה. כן, Le Petomane היה השמנת התרבותית של החברה באותן השנים.
